Our Team

We’re a two‑person team that brings together deep food science expertise and strong operational, documentation, and compliance experience. One of us focuses on the technical side of food safety — hazards, controls, regulations, and program design — while the other specializes in process review, implementation, documentation, and legal awareness. Together, we pair scientific insight with steady administrative leadership to deliver clear, reliable support. This balanced approach ensures every detail is managed with accuracy and care, helping facilities not only understand food safety requirements but confidently put them into practice.

Seth Mayer

Food Scientist & Consultant

About Seth – With more than 10 years of experience in the Canadian food processing industry, I bring a practical, science‑based approach to food safety, quality management, and continuous improvement. My work extends across the broader food supply chain, connecting closely with agriculture and animal feed to support safe, high‑quality systems from raw materials to finished products.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from the University of Manitoba and a Diploma in Culinary Arts from Red River College, giving me a strong foundation in both the technical and hands‑on sides of food production. This dual background allows me to bridge scientific principles with real‑world operational needs.

I am especially interested in microbiology, mycology, food preservation, and sustainable gardening, and I enjoy translating these areas into practical, evidence‑based solutions that help ensure safe, consistent, and high‑quality food.

Amelia Furlinger

Operations Administrator & Consultant

About Amelia – I focus on building the systems, structure, and clarity that keep our operations running smoothly. My work centers on process documentation, training, and operational alignment, transforming complex workflows into clear, reliable systems.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts with distinction and am currently working toward a master’s degree in literature. This academic background strengthens my analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to translate complexity into clarity — all essential to building strong, sustainable operations.

Known for my attention to detail, I move naturally between the micro and the macro: examining fine points while keeping the broader vision in view. I approach challenges methodically and steadily, working through each step until the solution is complete, functional, and built to last.

My philosophy is simple: understand the process, support the people, and create systems that strengthen the business over time.
